At the world’s first speciality Kit Kat store which opened in January 2014 I was hoping for a wider selection to add to the list of varieties I have sampled…. Only four flavors appeared to be available: green tea + sakura; cheese cake; strawberry; chilli. “Not any more,” said the chocolatier when I asked where the hundreds of unusual varieties were. He suggested trying the souvenir shops at Yokohama Station and Tokyo Station (though the airports are still the best bet as they have about ten flavors on offer).
The silver lining (wrapper?!) is that a Kit Kat music CD is available with chocolate bar included, as well as an impressive Kit Kat chandelier!
